After a long days travel, the next morning we see that we have arrived in paradise.
Our cabana/hut is quite idyllic.
It is 10 yards up from the waters edge and looks straight out onto the 500m long left point break.
Amanda is suitably happy.
Time for some surfing!
Post surf snack.
Not quite enough so we stroll down the beach to the restaurant.
Quick relax...
...and it's back in the water.
Time for some more relaxing?
Wow the day goes fast with all that surfing, eating and relaxing.
Satisfied.
The dogs are very placid. This one clearly does not have rabies.
The next day we began our pre-dawn surf routine. Full moon, warm water, no wind, no sunburn and noone else!
Here coes the sun!
Surfer's eye shot of amanda heading in for breakfast
Hang on what's this?
OK just one more!
Shade was very important. After midday and sand was too hot to walk on.
Amanda sizes up the crowds.
She weaves her way along the wave.
Backside view!
The pelicans were also getting in on the scene.
40 second ride to shore for water, food and a reapplication of suncream.
Matt sizes up the wave. Everyone's out. Time to get in!
Amanda takes photos.
Matt comes in to use the hammock.
Ahhh
Amanda nips back out again.
Another day of multiple surf sessions. Tough life.
Dinner was often poached swordfish with chillis, tomatoes and onion, served with rice, beans, tortillas (home-made) and salsa. Sometimes we had prawns, ceviche, guacamole, red snapper, chicken quesidillas, fish tacos or chilli rellanos...mmmmm. Best Mexican food ever!
Thoughts of the pre-dawn session tomorrow!
Mad Dog Man.
After a early session we did some exploring a few miles back down the road towards the airport.
Slighty different set up eh?
